Most sources I've found say the maximum ram this system can hold is 384mb. Gateway's UK wesbite, however, contains an on-line manual for the system that says the maximum ram is 768mb. I had 384 mb in place until recently when I purchased 3 256mb 32mx64 modules from Crucial. I installed all 3 at once and the system

I am taking a XP Pro Class and my instructor said that Windows 98 had a maximum as far as the RAM goes it would only recognize so much. You cannot un-use RAM and the question doesn't require this. It may be helpful if I point out that "your program must use no more than the maximum at any point" means "your program must use no more than X, where X is the maximum at any point ..." That is, the amount of RAM you can use is dictated by the total "high
