What is the maximum amount of RAM that Vista will support? The 32bit version is of most importance to me.
Thanks

Maximum Ram
I believe it is the max that your motherboard can hold.

I think 64bit is something around 12-16GB isn't it? Probably *totally* wrong but it's something quite high up there isn't it?
I'm just desperately trying to think back to Whistler beta!! *THINK ZACK, THINK!!*

64-Bit Windows client can handle 128 GBs physical RAM, 16TB Virtual Memory. The Sever version, , but I think its 8TBs of RAM of Physical, I am not sure probably 512TB for Virtual Memory. -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Zack Whittaker (R2 Mentor)" wrote in message

According to Moores law you will only have to wait 8 more years before you can readily buy a system with 128 GBs physical RAM, from a retailer near you.
For the 16TB machine, you will only have to wait 24 years. This is based on being able to buy a 8 GB system today, which may not be all that common. So add 2 years to my calculations if you like.

I still be able to afford that amount of memory in 8 years. -- -- Andre Windows Connect | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta FAQ for MS AntiSpy http://www.geocities.com/marfer_mvp/FAQ_MSantispy.htm "Gary Mount" wrote in message
